(5). Mayor Lackey stated reasons for call as follows; to -wit: To introduee an ordinanoe for the purchase of a strip of property at the corner of 4th & Broadway Streets and such other business as may come before the Board. Commissioner Nelson offered motion that the ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PURCHASING AND PAYING FOR A STRIP OF GROUND ON Ordinance to purchase strip of Bound at FOURTH STREET AT THE INTERSECTION OF FOURTH STREET AND BROADNAY FOR THE PURPOSE 4th & Broad -xray in- troduced OF YIIDENIIIG THE SIDE'lALK ON THE PIEST SIDE OF FOURTH STREET SOUTH OF BROADSAY AND AUTHORIZING 7103- ACCEPTANCE OF DEED TO &%ID PROPERTY FROM THE TAYLOR REAL ESTATE: COMPANY, AND MRS'ADINE M. TAYLOR AND HER HUSBAND, J.Q. TAYLOR", be now intro- duced and that said ordinance in its completed form lay over for further action until the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners on Monday, March 5th, 1928; same being more than one creak from this date. At this point Mayor Lackey announced that -on account of the fact that he was indirectly and directly interested in the subject matter of this ordinance, he could not participate in any action thereon; whereupon . Commissioner Nelson put the question upon the adoption of said motion. Adopted on the call of the'roll: Yeas; Commisaionors Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson, and Rutter. (4). "Mayor Lackey not voting. Mayor Lackey offered motion•to adopt an ordinance entitled, Ordinance exempting "All ORDINANCE EXEMPTING 11W.' MANUFACTURING ENTERPRISES ESTABLISHED IN THE CITY new mfg.enterprises OF PADUCAH FROM THE PAMlENT OF AD VALOREM AND LICENSE TAXES TO THE CITY OF from ta;:ea for 5 years. PADUCAH FOR THE PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS." Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas; Commiasioners;Brgdshaw, Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey. (5)/ On motion mooting adjourned.
