At a call meeting of the Bonrd of Commissioners held in the Commissioncrat
Chamber in the City Rall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky at10 ofclock a.m.,
on the 9th dny of April, 1929, Mayor Lackey presided end upon call of the roll the
following answered to their news: Commissioners Brads},sw, Rannin, Nelson, Rutter and
V.nyor Lackey, (5).
!dayor Lackey stated reason for call,,to-wit: For the purpose of opening
bids on Contract No.l for Yard surfacing Jefferson Street from 25th Street to 32nd
Street, and for the purpose of awarding contract thereon, and for transacting such
other business as may come before said Board,
Commissioner Bradshaw offered the following motion: I move that the
following bids for t!e construction and reconstruction of the driveway on Jefferson
Street from the west ppoperty line of 25th Street to the west property line of 32nd.
Street, and on LaBelle Avenue from the South property line of Jefferson Street to the
North property line of Broadway Stroct, together with nil necessary curbs, gutters,
driveways, manholes, intakes, catch basins and sewer pipe, be received and filed
and thnt the certified checks accompaning same be delivered to the Commissioner of
Public Finance to be hold subject to the further orders of the Board of Commissioners:
Carey-P.ced Company
D.J.Ryan Construction Company
Hogan Construction Company
Southern Roads Company
I further move that the Board of Commission(ra adjourn until 3 o'clock
this after for further consideration of said bids and awarding contract thereon.
Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Bradshaw, Rannin, Nelson, Rutter
and `:nyor Lackey, (5)'.
