City of Paducah ilovF:oTB"? 12,1928 I At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Coxmiasionors held in the F Commissioners' 'Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky at two o'clock P.M., on the 12th day of November, 1928, Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of the roll the following ana..ored to their names: Commissioners Bradshaw, Hnnnin, Nelson, Rutter and Vayor Lackey, (5): Minutes of the previous meeting gore adoptee' as read. Commissioner Rutter offered the following motion: Tt appearing to the sr.tisfaction of the Board of Commissioners that the services 6f Dog Catcher Dog Cntcher's for the balance of this year are not necessary, I now move that the services services dispensed with. of k`.M.Turner, who is now employed as Dog Catcher, and the use or his vehicle employed in connection with catching dogs be dispensed with after the 15th day df November, 1928 and to commence with the 166th day of November, 1928; and that the police po7aer.given to said Dog Catcher be terminated as of the 16th day of November, 1928. Adopted on the call of t.i,e roll: Yeas; Commisnioncra Bradshaw, Hannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5). Mayor Lackey offered the following motion: The City Solicitor having J.T.'7atkins vs City of Paducah reported an agreement to compromise the action of J.T.rlatkins, et al vs. compromise . City of Paducah for damages to real estate by the closing of Tennessee Street, which damages accrued to the property of the plaintiffs, consisting of a lot or lots approximately 80 feet fronting on Goebel Avenue and Outheie Avenue, and 155 feet along the side of Guthrie Avenue, at an agreed damage of $200.00, plus the cost of the action, I now move that said settlement be ratified and that the Commissioner of Public Finance be instructed to issue check to Henry Lovett as attorney of record for J.T.S7atkins, Barry Slatkins, Pearl Dossett, Nannie McGregor, Augier Vintkins, Key 'Jstkins and Herman Watkins as heirs of bars J.T.':'latkins, and J.T.':atkins as administrator of the estate of Lars J.T.1,7atkins for the said sum of '1200.00; and that said Commissioner of Public Finance also issue check to 1•lrs Frances Allen, Cleric of the McCracken Circuit Court, in settlement of the taxed cost in said action; all of same to be charged to the account of Costs & Suits. :adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Bradshaw, Hnnnin, Nelson, gutter and Meyer Lnckey, (5). Mayor Lnckey offered the £olio;iing motion: I move that the statement of the Kentucky Utilities Company shoeing gross earnings, operating expenses, Kentucky Utilities Co. ::tnte;ent of tares and balance for the twelve months ended September 30, 1928, benring date eArnln?e, etc of October 26th, 1928, be received and filed.
