OCTOBER 29th, 1928 At a Regular L+eoting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Com- uaissicnersl Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky at two o'clock P.M., on the 29th day of October, 1928, Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Bradshaw, liannin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5). Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read: Comrrdssioner Bradshaw offered the following motion: Fraser & Cocke having executed construction bond for the construction of gravel streets on 7th Strcet 7th St.,and from Husbands Street to Caldwell Street, and on Coldriell Street from 7th Street to 8th Caldwell St contract Street, and having executed Contract No.2 covering said work, which bond has been for gravel aw,rdedto approved by the Mayor and signed by Fraser & Cooke as principal and the National Fraser & Cocke re- "urety Company of New York as surety, and the contract approved by the City Solicitor, ceived & filed. I noe move that said contract and bond be received and filed and that the certified bid check of -Fraser & Cocke be delivered to them by the Commissioner of Public Finance'. Adopted on the Ball of the roll: Yoas; Commissioners Bradshaw, Hnnnin, Nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5). Commissioner Bradshaw offered motion that G.71.Katterjohn & Son having executed construction bond for the construction of driveways,curb and gutter on 7th 7th St.,and Street, from Husbands Street to Caldwell Street, and on Caldwell Street from 7th Street Caldwell t contract to 8th Street, and having executed contract No.3 covering said work, vahich bond has for drive- wsys,etc been approved by the Mayor and signed :b7 G.l7.F.atterjohn & Son as principal and the awarded to Katterjohn Rational Surety Company,of Now York, as surety,, and ,the contract approved by the City received & filed. Solicitor, I now move that sn d contract and bond be received and filed, and that the certified bid cheek of G..% Katter,john & Son be delivered to them by the Commissioner of Public Finance. Rrmissioner Bradshaw offered the f$llowlnv ;potion: received appearing from the examination o all tfiie bids for the 13th Street gravel construction of the gravel street on 13th Street, from the west curb line of contract s:•:nrded Auto Livery Co Atkins Avenue to the present City Limit Lino, under Contract Ro.3, that the bid of Auto r,ivery Company is the lowest and Lest bid, I move that their proposal and bid on said contract, according to the proposal and bid submitted with the plans and specifications, for the construction of said street by'grading and graveling same with bank gravel, as provided in the specifications, be accepted; and that the Mayor be suthorized, empowered and instructed to enter into a contract with Auto Livery Company for the construction of said street by grading and graveling'same'with bank gravel, in accordance with the plans and specifications and under the provisions of the ordinance for said improvement. And I further move that the certified checks of the unsuccessful bidders be returned to them.
