Proceedings of . BOARD OF COYMUSIONERS _ City of Paducah OCTOBER 17,1928
At a Call Meeting of the Board of Commissioners hold in the
Commissioners' Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky at ten o'clock a.m., on the 17th day of October, 1928, Mayor Lackey
presided and upon call of the roll the following answered to their namos;
Commissioners Bradshaw, Fannin, Nelson and Mayor Lackey, (4).
Mayor Lackey stated reason for call to -wit: For the purpose of
'receiving and filing bond of the Southern Roads Company, and such other tuoinens
as may come before the Board.
Commissioner Bradshaw offered the following motion: The Southern
Sduthern Roads Co
Roads Company having executed construction bond for the construction of hard
contract & bond
for N.13th St.,
surface streets on North 13th Street, from Willett Street to Palm Street, and
received and filed
on the Cairo Road from Palm Street to Atkins Avenue, and having executed
Contract No.5, covering said work, which bond has boon approved•by the Mayor
and signed by the Southern Roads Company as principal, and the National
Surety Company, of New York as suroty, and the Contract having been approved
by the City Solicitor, I now move that said contract and bond be received and
filed, and that the•certified bid check of the Southern Roads Company
be delivered to it by the Commissioner of Public Finance. Adopted on the
call of the roll: Yeas; Commissioners Bradshaw, Hannin,.Nelson and Mayor Lackey,
(4).
Commissioner Bradshaw offered the following motion-' Southern
Southern Roads Co.

for Broadway
hard surface streets on Broadway from 25th Street to 32nd Street, and hnving
received and filed
executed Contract Vo.B, covering said work, which bond has been approved by
the Vayor and signed by Southern Roads Company as principal and the National
Surety Company, of New York as surety, and the contract approved by the City
Solicitor, I now move that said contract and bond be received and filed
and that the certified bid check of the Southern Roads Company be delivered to
it by the Commissioner of Public Finance. Adopted on the call of the roll:
Yeas; Commissioners Bradshaw, Nnnnin, Nelson and Mayor Lackey, (4).
On motion mooting adjourned.
