- I At a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners hold in the
Commissionerst Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paduoah,Kentuc1q
}; at 10 o'clock A.M., on the 7th day of August, 1928, Mayor Lackey presided and
upon call of the roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners
Bradshaw, Hannin, nelson, Rutter and Mayor Lackey, (5):
Mayor Lackey stated reason for call to -wit: For the purpose of
y opening bids for the construction of sanitary and storm water sewers in Sewer
Zone 4 A. and such other business as may come before the Board.
Commissioner Bradshaw offered the following motion: The City
of Paducah having advertised for bids to be filed with the Commissioner of Public
Sewer Zone 4 A.
Bids opened Works on or before 10 otelock A.I.i., Tuesday, August 79 1928, for the construction
of combined sanitary and storm water sewers in Sevier Zone 4 A. in the City of
Paducah pursuant to plana, specific -tions and drawings prepared by the Cormiissionor

of Public Works, which bids are required to be delivered sealed, together with
j certified check or cash, as required by said information and requirements and

advertisement aforesaid, and which bids are required to be opened by the Board
of Commissioners at 10 o`clock before noon on August 7, 1928 in the Commissionerst
Chamber in the City Hall Building in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and all bids
having boon so received by the Commissioner of Public Vlorks and having been
opened in the presence of the Board of Commissioners aforesaid, I now move that
the follo^+ing bids for the construction of said sewers be received and filed
and that the certified checks accompanin name be delivered to the Commissioner of
Public Finance to be held subject to the further order; of the Board of Com-
missioners:
(1) northern States Contracting Co;
(2) Callahan & Gross Co.
(3) Langley & Co.
(4) John J. Dann & Co.
(5) Merkle Contracting Co.
(6) George Pontarolll
(7) L.7%Hancock
(8) Christensen Dros. Co.
Adopted on the call of tho'roll: Yeas; Commissioncra Bradshaw, HInnin, Nelson,
Rutter and '.Iayor Lackey,
On motion meeting adjourned until 3 o'clock P.M., August
8th, 1328;
