Same read an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF ONE SANITARY INSPECTOR, IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, WHO SHALL Ordinanne. SERVE UNDER THE SUPERVISION AND CONTROL OF THE BOARD OF HEALTH AND THE HFALTH Sanitary Inspect- or. OFFICER OF SAID CITY; AND PRESCRIBING THE TERM OF OFFICE AND COMPE11SATION OF SAID OFFICER." At a Call Meeting, of the Board of Aldermen held on the Third Floor of the City Hall, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, March the 29th, 1927, President Hannin presided, and upon the call of the roll the following answered to their name: Hannin, B&11, Cole, Davis, Dunbar, Hendricks, Rieke and Tyree (8). N-ayor's call was read, received and filed. Member Rieke read a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY TREASURER OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO RENE'N CERTAIN NOTE OR NOTES AGGREGATING $12,178,04, REPRESENTING LC1TS OBTAINED Notes renewed. FOR THE PAYMENT OF COSTS OF ISLAND CREEK RF. -LOCATION SE:"ER, OR TO MAKE A NET LOAN THEREFOR, AND TO EXECUTE NOTE OR NOTES FOR THE SAME ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY." Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (8). Ordinance. Member Dunbar read an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR Health Officer. THE EM-PLOYMENT OF THE HEALTH OFFICER OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND THE ASSIGNMENT OF ADDITIONAL DUTIES TO SAID HEALTH OFFICER FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ALL TIME HEALTH SERVICE; PRES©RIBING THE DUTIES ASSIGNED TO SAID HEALTH OFFICER AND FIXING THE SALARY FOR HIS DUTIES HEREIN -SSIGNED." Report of Member Rieke offered motion to concur in the action of the Board of Assessor and Board Councilmen in adopting, receiving and filing the report of the Assessor and the Board of Equali- zation, of Equalization of the assessed valuation of real estate and personal property in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the year 1927, as certified by the City Auditor. Member Cole offered motion that the Mayor be,afi.thori:ed to enter into a contract with Black & Veatch, Engineers, for the reviewing and supervision of making Black & Veatch plans and specifications for the letting of contract'and'genergl Supervision of con - Plans and struction of the following streets: Guthrie Avenue from the North property line of the specifier- Mayfield Read to 19th Street; 19th Street from Guthrie avenue to the south property tions for P P Y Guthrie line of Broadwa • Jackson Street from the north property line of Guthrie Avenue to the Ave. 19th Y, P P Y St. Jack- son St.. east property line of 21st street; 6th Street from the South property line of Tennessee 6th Street to the north nro pert line of Clark Sheeet; Tennessee Street from the East Tenn.. Same offered motion that the Mayor be authorized to enter into a contract with Black & Veatchri Engineers for the pupervision of street construction as Black & Veatch. follows: 13th Street from the north property line of Jefferson Street to the north const. on 13th St. property line of Monroe Street; Monroe Street from the west property line of 12th Street Monroe St. 12th St, to the east property line of 13th Street; 12th Street from the south property line of: Broadway to the north property line of Kentucky Avenue, this work to be done for 39 of the cost of construction. Member Rieke read an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE LEVY Tax Levy OR RATE OF TAXATION ON PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE YEAR 1927, Ordinance. AND THE RATE OF THE POLL TAX, WITH THE PURPOSE OF SAID LEVY HEREUNDER DEFINED."
