At a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen held on the Third Floor of the City Hall, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, December the 20th, 1926, President Hannin presided, and upon the call of the roll the following answered to their names: Hannin, Bell, Boyd, Choate, Cole, Dunbar, Rieke and Tyree. (8) Minutes.of the previous meeting were adopted as read. Member Rieke offered motion to allow the following: Pay rolls..$,7258:99; Pay rolls and claims.......w228.26; City Engineer's pay roll.(Hard surface street fund)..$101.70. claims. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas Same offered motion that the amount of accrued interest 490.22, due Note First Nat4on-December 31, 1926, on the note executed to the First National Bank for $3657.56, al Bank. to take up unclaimed tax bills for sewer laterals in Zones 1 and 3, be allowed. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (8). Same offered motion that the Treasurer be authorized to transfer on December 31st, 1926, to the 3rd District Sevier Bond Sinking Fund.. 4.3100.00 School Improvement Bond " "(1920) 5625.00 School " " " "(1926) 4422.00 2nd District Relief Sewer Bond " " 1030.00 Transfer money. Co., Semi-annual Refunding Bond Issue, in the >mount of $744.36, I move that the allowance he made interest N.O.and 0. R.R.Co. Refund -and the Treasurer instructed to pay said claim when due. Adopted on the call of ing Bond Issue. the roll: Yeas (8). Same offered motion that the Treasurer's report of collections and Geo.7!. Katterjohn ten year agreement made in connection with the Geo. W. Katterjohn & Son Contract & Son Contract 2• No. 2, as shown in report, be accepted, and the Treasurer be authorized to pay Geo. W. Katterjohn & Son, the balance of $286.48, due from cash collections. Also that the Mayor and Treasurer be authorized to have printed, executed and sell, bonds in the amount of $134.56, to make final settlement with G. V,. Katterjohn & Son. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (10). Same offered motion that the Treasurer's report of collections and ten year agreements, made in connection with the D. J. Ryan Construction Company D.J.Ryan Const.Co. Contract No. 3, on Contract No. 3, for paving 13th Street, be accepted and the Treasurer be Paving 13th St. . authorized to make final settlement upon the sale of bonds covering the ten year agreement. Also authorizing the Yayor and Treasurer to have printed, executed and sell, bonds in the amount of $21372.64, in accordance rith the procedure set forth in the Kentucky Statutes governing ten year agreements. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (8). Same offered motion that the claim of E. L. Ross, Contractor, for E. L. Ross. Gradinu and grav- 5148.80, for grading and graveling intersections at 213t and Jackson Streets, and elintz 21st and Jackson and 23rd 23rd and Jackson Streets, be allowed. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (8). and .Jackson. Same offered motion that the corrected final estimate for the amount of u8363.77, on Contract No. 1, (paving Bride Street) of the D. J. Ryan Construction Company, approved by the Engineer, Board of Public Vorks and Finance Committee, be approved by the General Council, and Improvement Varrant, bearing 6% interest, be issued to D. J. Same offered motion that the old truck used in the Engineering Department Ford truck be turned in on purchase price of a new Ford truck, as recommended by the Board of Eng. Dent. Public ';+orks. Member Choate offered motion to concur in the recommendation of the Board D.J.Ryan of Public Works, accepting paving on Clements -Street, from Meyers Street to Bridge Const. Co. Paving on Street, from D.'J. Ryan Construction Company, as completed. Adopted on the call of Clements St. the roll: Yeas (8). Member Rieke offered motion to allow the claim of the Koller Plumbing Claim Kolle5 Company, $1081.00 for material furnished and labor performed in the construction of a P1umb.Co. Sanitary Sever in Kentucky Avenue between 11th and 12th Streets, for the City of Paducah, Kentucky. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (8). Same offered motion to concur in the action of the Board of Councilmen J.R.Moss in refunding J. R. Moss, $3.30 taxes. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (8). Tax refund. Member Dunbar offered motion to refer to the Ordinance Committee, ordinances governing street peddlers, hawkers or hucksters, and retailing merchandise from railroad Street peddlers, cars by non -itinerant merchants- Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (8). hawkers & hucksters. Member Cole offered m6tion that the Mayor be authorized to carry out the Section 8 provisions of Section 8, of the Fater Franchise, with the Paducah Water Company, .relative hater to flush tank wagons using, water from standpipes. THE NORTH ASSESSYRNT ORDINANCE PROPERTY LINE OF JEFFERSON STREET TO THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE.OF MONROE STREET, TOGETHER 24TH STREET.
