' At a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen held on the Third Floor of the City Hall, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, October the 12th, 1926, President Hannin presided, and upon the call of the roll the followsing answered to their names: Hannin, Boyd, Choate, Cole, Rieke and Tyree (6). Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as Pead. Member Rieke offered motion to allow the regular monthly pay roll in Pay roll. the amount of e6,989.45. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (6). Same offered motion to allow claims in the amount of $7297.43. Adopted Claims. on the call of the roll: Yeas (6). Same offered motion to allow claims and pay rolls as follows: Street St.Right of hay right of way Fund $3.75; Hard surface street fund ; improvement fund X114.43; Island Hard Surf.St. Improvement Fund.Creek Bridge Fund $66.00. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (6). Island Greek Bridge Rand. Same offered motion that the Mayor and Treasurer be authorized to renew Note. note for $5701.82, at the Citizens Savings Bank for a period of six months, and to Citizens Savings pay °x171.05 interest now due. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (6). Bank. Member Bell came into meeting. Member Choate offered motion to concur in the action of the Board of Street Markers. Councilmen in appointing the Police & Fire Committee to meet with the Retail Merchants and Lions Club to plan and recommend some form of street markers for the City of Paducah. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (7). Member Rieke offered motion that allowance be made from the General Bond interest. Member Rieke offered motion that the proposition of E. F. Lewis , wherein he agrees to accept the sum of $7500.00 in cash, for his lot on Broadway, E. E. Lewis, a portion of which has been ordered to be condemned for the extension of 16th Street, be accepted, and that the City Solicitor be directed to draw deed for said lot, and that the City Treasurer be authorized -and directed upon delivery of said deed, duly approved by the City Solicitor, Ao accept warrant from the City Clerk, for said sum in favor of E. Bridge, to build an additional 30 foot span, including head wall on the east end of the Bridge, at the unit,.price as per his contract. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (7). Liember Bell offered motion that deed from C. T. Allen, H. L. Boyd. and Deed from H. G.
