At an adjourned meeting of the Board of Aldermen, held on the Third Floor of the City Hall, in the City of Paducah, Ky., July 9th, 1926, President Hannin presided, and upon the call of the roll the folloivin,r•, answered to their names: Hannin; Bell, Boyd, Choate, Cole, Dunbar, Rieke and Tyree. (8). Member Boyd offered motion to receive and file the report of the Light F, Removal of Fire plurals '"ater Committee of the removal of fire plugs from streets affected by the expansion from streets. of the Illinois Central Railroad Companyls Shops. Adonted on the call of the roll: Yeas (8). Same offered motion that a resolution directinr� the Paducah ''!ater Company ^ndueah to lay its mains on 24th Street from Trimble to Mildred Street; Bachman Street from a ter Co to lay mains Sth to 9th Streets; 25th Street from Hinkleville Road to Mildred Street; "C" Street on 24th St., Bachman, from Gutnrie Avenue to 'wheeler .+venue; Eleventh Street from Ellis to Palm Streets•and 25th, "C" St.,llth Flora Avenue from Brirle Street to the end of Flora Avenues be adopted. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (e). Member Bell offered motion that upon recommendation of the Mayor and Suspension Fire u Police Committee, I move that the suspension of Fire Chief J. M. Slaughter, be of Fire Chief J.:". rescinded. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas ,,"•lalinhter rescinded, Yember Choate offered motion to concur in the action of the Board of Aldermen in adopting the following: "Be it resolved that the General Council of the City'of Paducah adopt the 'Iarrenite Bitulithic on a six inch Portland Cement Concrete :'arrenite Bitulithic. base using gravel as the aggregate to be used in the construction of the streets in Paducah, Kentucky, on which bids were received upon various materials July 7th, 1926, and be it fubther resolved that s°:e award the contract for such street pavan; to b; ,lone to the Southern Roads Company, as it is the lowest and best bidder upon this' character' of material.
