AEN__City Of P2dUC2}l 14AY 17, 1926._ At a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen held on the Third Floor of the City Hall, in the City of Paducah, Ky., May the 17th, 1926, President Hannin presided, and upon the call of the roll the following answered to their names: Hannin, Bell, Boyd, Chpate, Cole, Dunbar, Rieke and Tyree. (8)., On motion the minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. Member Rieke offered motion that the pay roll in the amount of $7544.89, gay -roll. approved by the Finance Committee, be allowed, and the clerk authorized to issue proper warrant on the Treasurer for same, charging respective departments as shorn therein. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (e). Member Rieke offered motion that tlaims -in the amount of $9565.38, claims. approved by the Finance Committee, be allowed, and the Clerk authorized to issue proper warrant on the Treasurer for same, charging respective departments as shown therein. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (8). Member Rieke offered motion that claims paid through the Cashier's Cashier's Fund. Fund in the amount of $151.37 be allowed, so that the fund may be re-imbursed. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (8). Same offered motion that the Treasurer be authorized to transfer to the City National Bank of New York, the sum of $1750.00, the amount due June 1st, Transfer of 1926, for coupon interest on issue known as the Chicago, St. Louis & Paducah R.R. money. ► Company, charging same to the bond interest account. Same offdred motion to adopt the following resolution: "l'7HEREAS the &oller Plumbing Company has completed the construction of combined storm and sanitary Koller Plumbing Co. sewers from 15th and Clay Streets, to 12th & Monroe Streets, in the bity of Sewers 15th and Paducah, Kentucky, and the City Engineer and Board of Public Works have filed Clay to 12th & Monroe Sts. herein their report and estimate of cost of same, and recommended the payment thereof in the sum of $23,998.29, to be charged and paid from the proceeds raised from the sale of bonds from said City, Adopted on the.call of the roll: Yeas (8). Same offered motion to adopt a resolution authorizing the Mayor and City Treasurer to borrow 430,000.00 in anticipation of receipt of funds from the Borrow money. sale of sewer bonds recently consumated, to provide for the cost of construction for a sewer to take care of overflow in District No. 2, said loan to be used to pay the Koller Plumbing Company Contractor. Member Choate offered motion to concur in the recommendation of the G.C.Annleton Board of Public Vlorks and Joint Street Committee, in employing G. C. Appleton, Assistant City Engineer. Member Rieke offered motion that the Board of Public Works of the City of Paducah be authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Wilbur Watson and 1 l hurt'( 'i7atson & Associates, for the expert supervision of construction of Island Creek Bridge for the Associates. sum of $1500.,00, provided said firm will agree to keep and maintain an expert engineer to supervise and inspect said work during the construction of said bridge. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (8). Member Choate offered motion to concur in the action of the Board of Public Contract Works, in awarding the contract for Island Creek Bridge to J. M. Rouse, and refer the J.M.Rouse for Island Creek matter of lowering the bridge and fill to the City Engineer and Board of Public %forks Bridge. and Joint Street Committee, with power to act, and the Mayor be authorized to sign contract.
