A# a call meeting of the Board of Aldermen held on the Third Floor of the
City Hall,in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, May the 20th, 1925, President Hannin
presided, and upon the call of the roll the following answered to their names:
Hannin, Boyd, Brooks, Choate, Dunbar, Rieke and Yopp. (7).
Member Rieke offered motion that the Mayor's call be received and filed.
Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (7).
Member Rieke offered motion that the rules be suspended and an ordinance
entitled "AN ORD1NaNUE TO CREATE AND ESTABLISH A 'FRANCHISE TO CONST';UCT, 071N,
ACgUIFE, ITAIN?AIN AND USE A WkTER :'IORKS PLANT AND WATER DISTRIBUTING SYSTL&I XITHIN
THE CORPORATE LI1ITS OF PADUCAH, AND INVESTING THE PURCHASER THE'IFFOH 17ITH THE
RIGHTS? PO'.9ER a71D PRIVILEGES HEREIII SET FORTH, AND IMPOSING UPON SUCH PURCHASER
THE DUTIES AND REBPONSIBILITIF.S SNIT GUT IN THIS ORDINANCE," be read by title
only and that same be placed upon its second and final passage. 'Adopted on the
call of the roll: Yeas: Hannin, Boyd, C13oate, Dunbar, Rieke and Yopp. (6).
Nays : Brooks -(J).
On motion same was given second and final passage upon the call of the
roll: Yeas: Hannin, Boyd, Choate, Dunbar and Yopp. (5), flays: Brooks (1).
Member Rieke not voting.
