On motion the minutes of the previous meeting :fere adopted as read. • H. Briarnu^st ;,)ember Rieke offered motion that the communication from E. 11.3ringhurst, �a•ct:. �vdtW . in regard to 1925 taxes, be referred to the Judiciary Committee. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (8). Same offered motion that the !1.ayor be authorized to make a contract with Black & Veatch Black & Veatch to make plans and specifications for the relief of Sewer District No. 2, for ;?250.00, as per his letter of April 17th. Member Boyd read a resolution entitled '.tA RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE EXEMPTION FROM CITY TAXES FOR THE PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS, A NE•i! MANUFACTURING ENTER- E.B.Ferguson exempted from PRISE TO BE F,STABLISHFD BY E. B. FERGUSON." Adopted on the call of. the roll: Yeas taxation for 5 yrs. (8). Member Brooks offered motion to concur in the recommendation-of,the Judiciary Committee, in allowing Ruby Darnell the sum of $600.00 in full settlement Ruby Darnell of the judgement of McCracken Circuit Court, in the amount of $800.00. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (8). Member Choate offered motion that the Police & Fire Committee be given parer to contract with Dalbey Electric Company, to furnish and install Traffic Traffic Signals Signals at 3rd, 4th, 5th,�JX 6th and 7th Streets and Broadway, at a coat of U3057.Co, to be paid out of Contingent Fund, these signals to be the same as installed at Stn & Broadway at present. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas: Hannin, Boyd, Brooks, Choate, Dunbar and Yopp. (6). Nays: Cochran and Rieke (2). Same offered motion that the Police and Fire Committee be allowed to Pur:!hane horse for 'traffic :fork. purchase a horse, saddle and bridle for a sum not to exceed ,150.00, to be used in traffic work. Same offered motion that the Police & Fire Committee be instructed to Hose for purchase 2000 feet of hose for Fire Department, nost not to exceed ;31.25 per foot. Fire D:pt.
