At a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen held on the Third Floor of the City Hall, in tine City of Paducah, Kentucky, President Cole called the meeting to order. Upon the call of the roll the following answered to their names: Cole, Alliston, Brooks, Cochran, Davis, Rieke and Yopp. (7). On motion the minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. motion Member Rieke offered to concur in the action of the Board of Councilmen of =E.L—..ten to October the 20th, 1924, in regard to the tuayor being instructed to appoint four delegates "hic,' i'-'•e:r to go to Cincinnati, Ohio, to the Ohio Valley Improvement Associationand sync. charge same to contingent fund. Lost on the call of the roll: Plays (7). Same offered motion that the Mayor be instructed to appoint four delegates to the Ohio Valley Improvement Association at Cincinnati, Ohio, the City to pay railroad fare both ways and charge same to contingent fund. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (7). Same offered motion to concur in the action of the Board of Councilmen in authorizing the tiayor to deed lot No. 10, on Brown Street, to Arthur Sanderson and •:. ,or'cn collect ;1150.00 for same, as per request. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (7). liember Cochran offered motion that the petition of citizens, requesting that are street light be placed at the corner of 11th and Palm Streets, be referred to the Light and :later Committee. Member Cochran offered the following: "Whereas assessments for Street sprinkling or spreading with oil fall due at the same time that the second property tax bills are payable; and, "71hereas, many citizens have requested that the penalty provided in event of default to pay same within thirty days after the assessment of same. "Therefore, Be it now resolved by the General Council of the City cf Paducah. "That the payment of oil tax assessments be extended to February let, 1925, and that the City Treasurer be directed not to add any penalty on said oil tax assessments, provided same shall be paid on or before said date of February 1st, 1925."
