At a regular meetin R of the Board of Councilmen held on the Third Floor of the City Hall, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, September 20th, 1926, President IIohnston presided, and upon the call of the roll the following answered to their names: Johnston, Br=T.e.tt, Crider, Doherty, Fleming, Kerth, Owen, Stewart, Vogt and Watson. (10). Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. Member Owen offered motion to receive and file the communication from the C.C.Duvall Mayor relative to appointing C. C. Duvall, Councilmen from the First Ward, to fill the arrointed. vacancy caused by the death of George A. Watts, and that member Duvall be awarded seat in the Council. idopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (10). Member Korth offered motion to refer to the City Engineer, City Solicitor and Street Committee, with power to act, petition from citizens asking that angle turn in Bridge Street be made a gradual curve. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas: Johnston, Brummett, Crider, Doherty, Duvall, Korth, Steuart and Vogt. (8). Nays: Fleming and Owen (2). Watson not voting. Same offered motion to refer to the Sewor.Committee, petition request- ing the extension of Sanitary Sewers from Guthrie Avenue down "A" Street 300 feet. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas : Johnston, Brummett, Crider, Doherty, Duvall, Fleming, Korth, Stewart, Vogt and Watson (10). Nays: Owen (1). Same offered motion tnat the recommendation of the Police & Fire Committee to appoint Vass Reams and 0. L. Pryor to the positlOn of regular firemen, effective at once, be concurred in. Member Owen offered motion to concur in the action of the Board of Aldermen in referring the matter of faulty intake on Jefferson Street, to the City Engineer, with instructions to have same attended to at once. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas (11). Member Brummett offered motion to concur in the action of the Board of Aldermen in receiving and filing the report of the.dpecial Committee of agreement executed with the Koller Plumbing Company relative to repair and com- pletion of sever for relief of Sanitary Sewer no. 2, in the re -location of Island Creek °ewer.
