At a call meeting of the Board of Councilmen held on the Tffiird Floor of the City liall, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, May the 20th, 1925, President Riglesborger presided, and upon the call of the roll the following answered to their names: RIGL'-:SSERGER, Cochran, Crider, Fleming, Holt, Johnston, Mason, Owen, Stewart and Watts(10). On motion the Mayors call was received and filed upon the call of the roll: Yeas (10-:). Member Ogren offered motion to receive and file petition from citizens protesting Petition acRinst against the passage of Water Franchise Ordinance. adopted on the call of the roll: later Francliise Yeas (10). Ordinance. Member Johnston offered motion that the rules be suspended, and that the ordinance entitled ".AN ORDINANCE TO CREATE AND ESTABLISH a FRANCIIISE TO CONSTRUCT, 07:N, ACQUIRE, MAINT.±IN AND USE A `.TATER WORKS PLANT AND :NATER DISTRIBUTING SYSTEM ':JI UiIN .'.'ater franchise. THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF PADUCn01, AND INVESTING THE PURCHASER THEREFOR VITH THE RIGHTS, PO':': -ER A':D PRIVIL'dGES HEREIN SET FORTH, AND IMPOSING U®ON SUCH PURCHASER THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SET OUT IN THIS ORDINANCE," be read by title only. Adopted on the call of the roll: Yeas: Higlesberger, Cochran, Crider, Holt, Johnston, .Iason, Owen, Stewart and 17atts(9); Nays: Fleming (1).
