On motion the minutes of the previous meeting was adopted as read. ��•-� N u� On motion by member Hanning the Finance Conmitteete allowance for salaries *to.� 'l.was allowed and the Clerk was authorized to draw a warrent on the Treasurer for the respect iva amounts upon call of the roll by the following tote; -Yana Foreman, Butler ' Farley, Goodman, Hannin, Hartong Jacobs, Lenhard, Moore A64 watts. (10) `' �•�'�` On motion by the above, a refund was granted on an error in the assessment of rl Bain C. Smith of $2000.00 amounting to 835.00 and same ordered corrected an the Tax It Book from 43000.00 to.02000.00, upon call of the roll by the following rote; -Yeas i'• Foremang Butler, Goodman, Hannin, Horton, Jacobew.Lenhardw Moore and Watts. (10) i!. t On motion by the above, a bill of George Richetein for damages olaimed, for him falling through an excavation made by Gas connection with the American Chili Parlor i amounting to 899.00 was referred to the Finance Committee with purer to act, upon cal i' of the roll by the following vote; -Yeas Porman, Butler, Parley, Goodman, Hanning hHartong Jacobs, Lenhard9 Moore and watts.. (10) JW I On motion by the above, the Sale of the Paducah and Illinois Ferry Franchise to j j e,z` li John B. Arntzen was ratified and Bond accepted. On motion by the above, a petition from the Colored Masonic Stock Co., for over {I. aseesmuaent, was received and filed. c II On motion by member Butler, the opinion from A.Y.Martin City Solicitor, in regal to repairs on sedewalke on Harrison street from 8th to 12th street and Madison street :i from 11th to 12th. street being done by O'Hara And Lake before June 29th 1914, them the City Is to repair same and demand the reimbursement of the costs of same from the jj contractors and surety company, same was coneured-in.. On motion by member Harton, the Paducah Water Company was instructed to lay main on lath street from Jachoon to Tennessee Street and the Water PlOgs ordered placed on the Reantal Idst. On motion by member Watts, the action of the Public Improvement Committee, was V ooncured-in, in order&M Awnings placed at the windows of the Treasurer's Ohi•os. On motion by member Horton, the Paducah Water Company was instructed to lay Main 1 .� xdn% �'of Power street from Hays Ave to a point near the Tipple track of.the Illinois Cent t,G ral R.R. and Thurman from Powell to Eulah and Eulah from Thurman south about one block i and Ashcroft from Sowell to Powell streets, and the water plugs ordered placed on the;.,\ i! Rental list. On motion by member Butler, that the City purchase the dirt from -Yancey & Johnson.' that to taken from Bookman street and Brunson Ave for 20cente per pard delivered on Husbands street, carried, upon call of the roil by the following vote; -Yeas Foreman, �i Butler, Parley, Goodman, Henning Harton, Jacobs, Lenhard, Moore and Watts. On motion by member Parley, the Mayor was instructed to sell the House recently (. purchased from Henry.Kameieiter to the beat bidd8l.with Instructions to remove same within) Thirty Days. /t f On motion by the above, the Board of Public Works were instructed C/s ��D to odrer Ehe Alley running from South 4th street on the West aide of the property belonging to C.H.Shom ,ill & others near the Sherrill King Co mill, open, up at once, said Alley having recently.
