AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JACKSON PURCHASE TWO-
WAY RADIO (MOTOROLA INC) FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF RADIO EQUIPMENT AND
MAINTENANCE FOR MOBILE DATA TERMINALS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of Jackson Purchase Two-way
Radio (Motorola Inc.) in the total amount of $266,314.25 for radio equipment and maintenance
for the mobile data terminals to be used in the Paducah Police Department, said bids being in
substantial compliance with bid specifications, and as contained in the bids of Jackson Purchase
Two-way Radio (Motorola, Inc.) of April 9, 2002.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Jackson
Purchase Two-way Radio (Motorola, Inc.) for the purchase of radio equipment and maintenance,
authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract
documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.

SECTION 3. This purchase shall be charged to Account Number 040-1203-513-
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
