HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-6-635973 ORDINANCE NO. 2001-6- tv35� AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF EMERGENCY RADIO EQUIPMENT FROM MOTOROLA CORPORATION FOR UPGRADE OF THE EMERGENCY TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME WHEREAS, this purchase is being made as a non-competitive negotiation l under Section 26-21 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah; and WHEREAS, Motorola Corporation is the sole supplier of this product in this area. SECTION 1. The Finance Director is hereby authorized to pay to Motorola Corporation the sum of $168,864.00 for the purchase of emergency radio equipment necessary to upgrade the Emergency Telecommunications System. Funds for this purchase will be provided by a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant through the U.S. Department of Justice. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Motorola Corporation for sale to the City of the equipment authorized in Section 1 above. 521-4213. SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 001-1602- SECTION 4.
