HomeMy WebLinkAbout2012-12-8002ORDINANCE NO. 2012-12-8002 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT AWARD FROM WALMART FOUNDATION -FACILITY LEVEL GIVING PROGRAM FOR FUNDS TO BE USED FOR THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT JUVENILE FIRE SETTER INTERVENTION PROGRAM -. WHEREAS, the Walmart Foundation believes in giving back to non -profits, educational institutions and local governments in local communities through a program called Facility Level Giving Program; and WHEREAS, the Paducah Fire Department has been notified that it has been awarded $1,000 to assist in funding the Fire Setter Intervention Program; and WHEREAS, the City now desires to accept the grant award. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby accepts a grant award in the amount of $1,000 from the Walmart Foundation -Facility Level Giving Program to assist the Paducah Fire Department in funding the Juvenile Fire Setter Intervention Program. The award does not require any local matching funds. SECTION 2. These funds expenditure shall be charged to project number FI0025 SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. ATTEST: Tammara S.
