AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT AWARD FROM KENTUCKY
FIRE SPRINKLER ASSOCIATION FOUNDATION FOR FUNDING FOR THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT'S JUNIOR FIRESETTER INTERVENTION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Fire Sprinkler Association Foundation holds an annual golf scramble to
benefit Fire Prevention Programs within the region; and
WHEREAS, on November lst a letter was sent to KFSCA requesting the amount of $2,500 for the Fire
Prevention Department's Juvenile Firesetter Intervention Program and
WHEREAS, on November 21St the Kentucky Fire Sprinkler Association notified the Fire Department that
the City's request had been approved; and
WHEREAS, the City now desires to accept the grant award.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby accepts a grant award in the
amount of $2,500 from the Kentucky Fire Sprinkler Association Foundation for funding for the
Fire Department's Juvenile Firesetter Intervention Program. The award does not require any
local matching funds.

SECTION 2. These funds expenditure shall be charged to FEMA Fire Prevention
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
