AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 WITH WILKINS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY,
INC., FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PADUCAH PARKS PHASE I PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 2003-10-6710 to enter into a
contract with Wilkins Construction Company, Inc., in the amount of $772,457.00 for
construction of the Paducah Parks Phase I Project; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 2004-5-6817 the City approved Change Order
No. 1 for a decrease in the amount of $1,200.00 to delete the removal of three construction
signs from the contract and Change Order No. 2 for an increase in the amount of $47,460.00,
to provide a parking lot and driveway for the 200+ person picnic shelter, increasing the total
contract price to $818,717.00; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 3 is required for an increase in the amount of
$5,771.00 for additional electrical, concrete work and painting between Noble Park, Kolb
Park and Blackburn Park and in order to finalize the project for the above referenced
contract, the total contract price will increase to $824,488.00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change
Order No. 3 in the combined amount of $5,771.00 for the City of Paducah's Parks Phase I
Project, increasing the total contract price to $824,488.00.
