AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2004-9-6862,
ENTITLED, "AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO PAY FOR THE SOLE
SOURCE REPAIR WORK OF A PUMP LOCATED AT FLOOD CONTROL PUMP
PLANT #2 AND TO TRANSFER FUNDS FOR SAID REPAIR"
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah adopted Ordinance No. 2004-9-6862,
authorizing the Finance Director to make payment in the amount of $11,200 for
emergency repair work of a pump located at flood control pump plant #2; and
WHEREAS, after disassembly and evaluation of the pump, it is necessary
to pay an additional cost of $5,300 to complete the repair; and
WHEREAS, the City now desires to amend Ordinance No. 2004-9-6862
to pay for the additional work.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Finance Director is hereby authorized to pay to
Industrial Maintenance & Electrical Corporation the amount of $11,200.00 $16,500.00
for the repair of a 500 hp pump located at Flood Control Pump Plant #2.
SECTION 2. The Finance Director shall transfer $1 ,�00 $16,500.00
from the City Four Rivers Center Account to the Engineering Department/Floodwall
Account DR0006.

SECTION 3. Pursuant to KRS 83A.060, the City Commission suspends
the requirement of a second reading and publication of this Ordinance. As grounds
therefore, the City Commission does hereby declare an emergency due to the work being
completed and payment due within a 30 -day time period.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective upon the first reading
of this Ordinance.
