AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIM SMITH CONTRACTING
COMPANY LLC, FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS REQUIREMENT OF BITUMINOUS
COLD -MIX, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR
SAME
C) BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City accepts the bid of Jim Smith Contracting, Company
LLC, for sale to the City of its requirement of bituminous cold -mix, for the remainder of 2004
and calendar year 2005, with a one-year option to renew, said bid being in substantial
compliance with the bid specifications, and as contained in the bid of Jim Smith Contracting
Company LLC of August 10, 2004, for the following prices:

SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract
with Jim Smith Contracting Company, LLC, for sale to the City of the material authorized in
Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents
\l heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid of August 10, 2004.
��� SECTION 3. Jim Smith Contracting Co., Inc., will furnish to the City, within ten
(10) days after execution of said contract, a performance bond in the amount of $1,000.00.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
