ORDINANCE NO. 2004-9-6864
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ON-LINE BID OF PADUCAH
WOODENWARE FOR LEAF BAGS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2004/2005
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the on-line bid of Paducah
Woodenware for leaf bags in the amount of $55,475.99 for use in the City of Paducah's
Yard Waste Collection Program, said bid being in substantial compliance with the on-line
bid specifications, advertisement for bids, and as contained in the on-line bid of Paducah
Woodenware, dated August 24, 2004.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Paducah Woodenware, for the purchase of 500,000 leaf bags, according to the
specifications, on-line bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and
incorporated in the on-line bid.

SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Solid Waste Brush and
SECTION 4. Pursuant to KRS 83A.060, the City Commission suspends
the requirement of a second reading and publication of this Ordinance. As grounds
therefore, the City Commission does hereby declare an emergency to exist due to the
price of resin increasing on a continual basis and Seller's price being locked in by
September 15, 2004.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall become effective upon the first reading
of this Ordinance.
