AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO
PAY FOR THE SOLE SOURCE REPAIR WORK OF A PUMP LOCATED AT
FLOOD CONTROL PUMP PLANT #2 AND TO TRANSFER FUNDS FOR SAID
REPAIR

WHEREAS, a written determination has been made by the City Manager
that the sole service repair work of a 500 hp pump located at Flood Control Pump Plant
#2 will be made pursuant to Sec. 2-659 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Finance Director is hereby authorized to pay to
Industrial Maintenance & Electrical Corporation the amount of $11,200.00 for the repair
of a 500 hp pump located at Flood Control Pump Plant #2.
SECTION 2. The Finance Director shall transfer $11,200.00 from the City
Four Rivers Center Account to the Engineering Department/Floodwall Account.
SECTION 3. Pursuant to KRS 83A.060, the City Commission suspends
the requirement of a second reading and publication of this Ordinance. As grounds
therefore, the City Commission does hereby declare an emergency to exist due to
approaching inclement weather.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective upon the first reading
of this Ordinance.
