AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO
PAY FOR THE EMERGENCY REPAIR OF A 30" PIPE LOCATED AT FLOOD
CONTROL PUMP PLANT #2 AND TRANSFER FUNDS FOR SAID REPAIR.
WHEREAS, a written determination has been made by the City Manager
that the services required for the emergency repair of a 30" pipe located at Flood Control
Pump Plant #2 was made pursuant to Sec. 2-659 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Finance Director is hereby authorized to pay to Murtco
Mechanical Contractors, Inc., the sum of $17,960.00, for services required for the
emergency repair of a 30" pipe for the 200 hp pump located at Flood Control Pump
Plant #2.
SECTION 2. The Finance Director shall transfer $17,960.00 from the
Four Rivers Center Account to the Engineering Department Floodwall Account.
SECTION 3. Pursuant to KRS 83A.060, the City Commission suspends
the requirement of a second reading and publication of this Ordinance. As grounds
therefore, the City Commission does hereby declare an emergency to exist due to
approaching inclement weather.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective upon the first reading
of this Ordinance.
