HomeMy WebLinkAbout2020-05-8636ORDINANCE NO. 2020-05-8636 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIM SMITH CONTRACTING, LLC, IN THE AMOUNT OF $299,726.50 FOR THE 24th STREET BRIDGE REHAB PROJECT, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME, AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO TRANSFER $90,000 FROM THE MAP FUND FUND BALANCE INTO THE 24TH STREET BRIDGE PROJECT ACCOUNT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Jim Smith Contracting, LLC, in the amount of $299,726.50, for the 24th Street Bridge Rehab Project, said bid being in substantial compliance with bid specifications, and advertisement for bids, as contained in the bid of Jim Smith Contracting, LLC, of April 16, 2020. SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Jim Smith Contracting, LLC, for the 24th Street Bridge Rehab Project, authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized and instructed to transfer $90,000 from the MAP Fund Fund Balance into the 24th Street Bridge Project Account (PF0077). The expenditure, authorized by Section 1 above, shall be charged to the 24th Street Bridge Project Account. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
