AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO OBTAIN AN ONLINE
LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT MATCHING BLOCK GRANT THROUGH THE U.S.
DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah desires to obtain a matching grant from the U. S.
j Department of Justice, which funds will be used by the Police Department for security cameras at
the department building, specialized defense tactical equipment and in -car video cameras for
police vehicles.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City is hereby authorized and directed to obtain an online Local
Law Enforcement Matching Block Grant through the U.S. Department of Justice in the amount
of $11,752.00 for use by the Police Department for security cameras at the department building,
specialized defense tactical equipment and in -car video cameras for police vehicles. The City's
cash match is in the amount of $1,306.00.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
