ORDINANCE NO. 2004-6-6825
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 106-154, TRADE SHOWS,
OF CHAPTER 106, TAXATION, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 106-154, Trade Shows, of Chapter 106,
Taxation, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 106-154. Trade Shows.
Any person sponsoring a trade show, temporary motor vehicle off-site
sale, or any other business by any other name which is conducted by supplying display
area to two or more persons on a day-to-day, week -to -week or month-to-month basis, and
which any one displayer shall have property for display or sale in excess of $2,500.00
retail value, shall pay an annual license fee of $300.00. This license fee shall not be
prorated after July 1 of each year. If the operator of the trade show secures a business
license under this section, it will not be necessary for any person operating a display area
in the trade show to secure a separate business license unless that person is otherwise
regularly engaged in business within the city. If all of the displayers have current city
business license, as set out in other sections of the business license code, the operator of
the trade show will not be required to secure a license under this section."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuar
