ORDINANCE NO. 2004-6-6823
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ATLAS ROOFING, FOR RE -
ROOFING FORMER RIVERSIDE FLORIST BUILDING LOCATED AT 200 WASHINGTON
STREET, AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FOR SAID PROJECT AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Atlas Roofing, in the
amount of $26,370.00 for re -roofing the former Riverside Florist Building located at 200
Washington Street, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications,
advertisement for bid, and as contained in the bid of Atlas Roofing of May 24, 2004.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a
contract with Atlas Roofing in the amount of $26,370.00 for re -roofing former Riverside Florist
Building, as authorized in Section 1 above, pursuant to the specifications, bid proposal and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed to
transfer the amount of $5,000.00 from Commission Contingency to Railroad Museum
renovations account.
SECTION 4. This expenditure shall be charged to project account Railroad
Renovations account (PF0035).
SECTION 5. Pursuant to KRS 83A.060, the City Commission suspends the
requirement of a second reading and publication of this Ordinance. As grounds therefor, the City
Commission does hereby declare an emergency to exist due to significant public safety hazards
created as a result of the building being struck by lightning.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall become
Ordinance.
