ORDINANCE NO. 2004-5-6818
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIM SMITH CONTRACTING COMPANY
LLC, FOR THE CITY'S 2004 CALENDAR YEAR STREET RESURFACING PROGRAM, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Jim Smith Contracting Company
LLC, in the amount of $228,765.00 for the City's 2004 calendar year resurfacing program, said bid being in
substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids, and as contained in the bid of
Jim Smith Contracting Company, LLC of May 4, 2004.
SECTION 2. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of Jim Smith Contracting Company, Inc.,
for roadway excavation and reconstruction at the following hourly rates:

SECTION 3. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Jim Smith
Contracting Company LLC, for street resurfacing and roadway excavation and construction as set out in
Sections 1 and 2 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore
approved and incorporated in the bid.
