ORDINANCE NO. 2004-3-6775
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO
PAY FOR THE EMERGENCY REPAIR OF A METAL PIPE LOCATED UNDER THE
FLOODWALL AND TRANSFER $68,146.90 FROM COMMISSION CONTINGENCY
WHEREAS, a written determination has been made by the City Manager
that the services required for the emergency repair of a collapsed 66" corrugated metal
pipe located under the floodwall near the Paducah -McCracken County Riverport
Authority property will be made pursuant to Sec. 2-659 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Finance Director is hereby authorized to pay to Murtco
Mechanical Contractors, Inc., the sum of $68,146.90, for services required for the
emergency repair of a collapsed 66" corrugated metal pipe located under the floodwall
near the Paducah -McCracken County Riverport Authority property
SECTION 2. The Finance Director shall transfer $68,146.90 from the City
Commission Contingency Account to the Floodwall Construction Materials - Streets
account.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Floodwall Construction
Materials - Streets account.
SECTION 4. An emergency is hereby declared to exist due to the time
constraints associated with the above -approved emergency repair being imperative for the
safety of the citizens of the City and this ordinance shall become
with one reading.
