ORDINANCE NO. 2004-4-6793
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A DEED OF
CONVEYANCE AND ALL OTHER DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO, BETWEEN THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, CHARLES SIMPSON AND WIFE CAROLYN SIMPSON AND
DAVID L. CURTIS AND WIFE SUDIE K. CURTIS FOR ACQUISITION OF A PORTION OF
PROPERTY LOCATED AT CLARK AND SOUTH 3' STREETS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Deed of Conveyance
and all other documents relating thereto between the City of Paducah, Charles Simpson and wife
Carolyn Simpson, and David L. Curtis and wife, Sudie K. Curtis for acquisition of a portion
(gpproximately 8' X 99') of property along Clark and South 3 Streets in the amount of $3,500
for purposes of establishing permanent right of way.
SECTION 2. That the property authorized in Section 1 above, heretofore
approved for acquisition, is more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast intersection of the right-of-way of 3rd Street and
Clark Street as shown in Plat Book L Page 1072 at the McCracken County
Clerk's office; thence North 24 degrees 57 minutes 19 seconds West along
the east right-of-way line of 3rd Street a distance of 8.00 feet to a point;
thence North 65 degrees 02 minutes 41 seconds East a distance of 39.80
feet to a point; thence South 24 degrees 57 minutes 19 seconds East a
distance of 0.33 feet to a point; thence North 65 degrees 02 minutes 41
seconds East a distance of 40.70 feet to a point; thence North 24 degrees
57 minutes 19 seconds West a distance of 0.33 feet to a point; thence
North 65 degrees 02 minutes 41 seconds East a distance of 19.10 feet to a
point; thence South 24 degrees 57 minutes 19 seconds East a distance of
8.00 feet to a point in the north right-of-way line of Clark Street; thence
South 65 degrees 2 minutes 41 seconds West along the north right-of-way
line of Clark Street a distance of 99.60 feet to the point of beginning.
Said right of way contains 783.37 square feet.
SECTION 3. The expenditure of funds for said acquisition will be processed
through project number PF0023.
SECTION 4. An emergency is hereby declared to exist in order to finalize the
property matters expediently within this vicinity and to accommodate the property owner's
financial request and this ordinance shall become effective i ith one rea ' g..
