AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID FOR THE UPGRADE
OF EXISTING AIR PACK EQUIPMENT FOR THE PADUCAH FIRE
DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Orr Safety
Corporation in the amount of $23,828.00 for upgrade of 28 existing air packs to NFPA
compliance used by the Paducah Fire Department, said bid being in substantial
compliance with specifications, and as contained in the proposal of Orr Safety
Corporation of May 4, 2006.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Orr Safety Corporation for upgrade of the air packs according to all contract documents
heretofore approved.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged through the following
project account Fire Department/Services Other.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
