AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE FINANCE
DIRECTOR TO MAKE PAYMENT TO THE GREATER PADUCAH ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL FOR THE ENDORSEMENT OF A SPECIFIC PROCESS
RECRUITMENT INITIATIVE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby authorizes and directs the
Finance Director to make payment in an amount not to exceed $50,000 to the Greater
Paducah Economic Development Council.
SECTION 2. This expenditure authorized in Section 1 above shall be
charged to the Investment Fund account.
SECTION 3. Pursuant to KRS 83A.060, the City Commission suspends
the requirement of a second reading of this Ordinance. As grounds therefore the City
Commission does hereby declare an emergency to exist because funds are needed for
authorization of a specific process recruitment initiative.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective upon the first reading
of this Ordinance.
