AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 WITH JIM SMITH CONTRACTING COMPANY,
LLC FOR THE PECAN DRIVEBUCKNER LANE ROADWAY IMPROVEMENT
C, PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 2005-8-7001 to enter into a
contract with Jim Smith Contracting Company, LLC, in the amount of $3,636,376.44 for
remaining improvements necessary for the Pecan Drive/ Buckner Lane Roadway
Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is required as an increase in the amount of
$235,769.32, for required Embankment in Place adjustment in order to finalize the project,
increasing the total cost to $3,872,145.76.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change
Order No. 1 for a price increase in the amount of $235,769.32 for the City of Paducah's
Pecan Drive/ Buckner Lane Roadway Improvement Project, increasing the total contract
price to $3,872,145.76.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
