AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO WITH THE KENTUCKY JUSTICE
AND PUBLIC SAFETY CABINET FOR A 2006 COMMUNITY PREPAREDNESS

REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a Community Preparedness
Reimbursement Grant adopted by Municipal Order No. 1207 on April 11, 2006, for eligible
security equipment purchases for City Hall; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet has approved the
application and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
documents necessary with the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet to obtain a
reimbursement grant in the amount of $10,000.00 to purchase eligible security equipment for
City Hall as part of the Vulnerability Assessment of Paducah completed by the Police
Department.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to account KY Comm. Prep
Grant -2006.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
