HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006-4-7102ORDINANCE NO. 2006-4-7102 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF FEDERAL MATERIALS COMPANY, INC., FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS REQUIREMENT OF PORTLAND CEMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City accepts the bid of Federal Materials Company, Inc., for sale to the City of its requirement of Portland Cement, for the remainder of 2006 and calendar year 2007, with a one-year option to renew, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications, and as contained in the bid of Federal Materials Company, Inc., of March 16, 2006, for the following prices: PORTLAND CEMENT VENDOR Federal Materials Company, Inc. DESCRIPTION UNIT TO BE DELIVERED UNIT PRICE Class A Concrete C.Y. $76.50 Class AA Concrete C.Y. $78.90 Class M Concrete C.Y. $124.30 Curing Compound 55 GAL DRUM $425.00 Flowable Fill Concrete C.Y. $64.80 SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Federal Materials Company, Inc., for sale to the City of the material authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid of March 16, 2006. SECTION 3. Federal Materials, Company, Inc., will furnish to the City, within ten (10) days after execution of said contract, a performance bond in the amount of $1,000.00. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. ATTEST: Tammara S.
