AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT
OF HOMELAND SECURITY, OFFICE FOR DOMESTIC PREPAREDNESS AND
THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR A GRANT FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIRE
PREVENTION AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
documents necessary with the Department of Homeland Security, Office for Domestic
Preparedness, for a Fire Prevention and Safety Grant Program Award in the amount of
$41,525 for the purchase of safety teaching tools and smoke detectors. There is no cash
match required.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
