AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2005-6-6988,
ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2005,

THROUGH JUNE 30, 2006, BY ESTIMATING REVENUES AND RESOURCES AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF CITY GOVERNMENT"
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to reappropriate funds for the 2005-
2006 budget which was adopted by Ordinance No. 2005-6-6988; and
WHEREAS, KRS prohibits expenses to exceed the budget in any
department.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the annual budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
2005, and ending June 30, 2006, be amended by a supplemental appropriation in the
amount of $200,000 to Investment Fund - Transfer Out line item (expenditure).
SECTION 2. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized to make
payment to Riverport Authority in the amount of $50,000 of appropriation for purchase
of property on Noble Road for economic development purposes and authorize the Mayor
to sign all associated documents.
!' SECTION 3. Pursuant to KRS 83A.060, the City Commission suspends the
requirement of a second reading and publication of this Ordinance. Therefore, the City
Commission does hereby declare an emergency to exist because funds are needed for closing
of property purchase which is scheduled for March 28, 2006.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective upon the first reading of
this Ordinance.
