AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO OBTAIN AN ONLINE
JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT THROUGH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FOR
USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
0 WHEREAS, the City of Paducah desires to obtain a matching grant from the U. S.
Department of Justice, which funds will be used by the Police Department for the purchase of
seven mobile radios and ancillary equipment.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City is hereby authorized and directed to obtain an online
Justice Assistance Grant through the U.S. Department of Justice in the amount of $20,578 for use
by the Police Department for the purchase of mobile radios and ancillary equipment.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
