HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-12-7050ORDINANCE NO. 2005-12-7050 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF RAY O'HERRON COMPANY INC., FOR THE PURCHASE OF TACTICAL BODY ARMOR, FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Ray O'Herron Company Inc. in the amount of $38,400 for the purchase of 80 pieces of tactical body armor, for use by the Police Department, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications, advertisement for bid, and as contained in the bid of Ray O'Herron Company, Inc., of November 14, 2005. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Ray O'Herron Company, Inc., for the purchase of tactical body armor, authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal, and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to the Police Department Safety Equipment account. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. ATTEST: Tammara S.
