AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE
COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET, DEPARTMENT OF
HIGHWAYS FOR THE PECAN DRIVE-BUCKNER LANE PROJECT
WHEREAS, on June 11, 2001, McCracken County Fiscal Court approved a
Resolution authorizing the execution of an agreement with the Commonwealth of Kentucky
Transportation Cabinet for reimbursement funds for construction of the KY 305 (Cairo Road)
Turn Lane into Industrial Park; and
WHEREAS, on February 18, 2005, Commonwealth of Kentucky, Transportation
Cabinet, Department of Highways approved the transfer of excess funds from the KY 305 Turn
Lane project to the City of Paducah for use on the Pecan -Drive Buckner Lane Project; and
WHEREAS, the funds may be utilized by the City of Paducah under conditions as
outlined in KY 305 Truck Turn Lane State Contract II; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah now desires to accept the funds and conditions
for the Pecan Drive -Buckner Lane Project.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby accepts the transfer of excess funds
in the amount of $130,885 from the KY 305 Turn Lane Project for use on the Pecan Drive -
Buckner Lane Project. The City may utilize said funds under conditions as outlined in KY 305
Truck Turn Lane State Contract U.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
