HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-3-6938011 ORDINANCE 2005-3-6938 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 WITH CHESTER MECHANICAL, INC. FOR HVAC RENOVATIONS AT THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 2004-11-6885 to enter into a contract with Chester Mechanical, Inc., in the amount of $411,560.00 for HVAC renovations at the Paducah Police Department; and WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 2005-2-6926 for Change Order No. 1 which required an increase in the amount of $8,771.00 for the installation of new ceiling tiles and lights in corridors and Change Order No. 2 required an increase in the amount of $22,814.00, for a new ergonomic work station for the reception area; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 3 is required for an increase in the amount of $67,391.00 for new ceilings, bulkheads, electrical changes for lights and receptacles, new awning for smoking area and painting walls, with a deduction for original painting in the amount of $5,652.00, and in order to finalize the project for the above referenced contract, the additional items increases the total contract price to $510,536.00. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change Order No. 3 in the amount of $67,391.00 for HVAC renovations at the Paducah Police Department, increasing the total contract price to $510,536.00. PF0034. SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Project account SECTION 3.
