AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A GRANT -AGREEMENT WITH THE
KENTUCKY ARTS COUNCIL FOR A 2013 KENTUCKY CULTURAL DISTRICT GRANT
FOR THE PLANNING AND DESIGN OF A WAYFINDING PROGRAM FOR THE
CULTURAL ARTS DISTRICT FOR PADUCAH RENAISSANCE ALLIANCE, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied to the Kentucky Arts Council by
Municipal Order No. 1646 on February 14, 2012, for a 2013 Kentucky Cultural District Grant for
the planning and design of a wayfinding program for the Cultural Arts District; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Arts Council has approved the application and is now
ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby approves a Grant Agreement with
the Kentucky Arts Council to obtain a 2013 Kentucky Cultural District Award Grant in the
amount of $5,000 for the planning and design of a Wayfinding Program for the Cultural Arts
District for Paducah Renaissance Alliance.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the 2013 Kentucky
Cultural District Award Grant agreement approved in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
