ORDINANCE NO. 2005-5-6971
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF HVAC UNIT
REPLACEMENT FOR THE ROBERT CHERRY CIVIC CENTER, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
WHEREAS, a written determination has been made by the City Manager
that the purchase of a HVAC unit replacement for the Robert Cherry Civic Center will be
made pursuant to Sec. 2-659 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Finance Director is hereby authorized to pay to
Thermal Equipment Sales, Inc., the total amount of $41,000.00 for the purchase of an
Aaon HVAC unit for replacement at the Robert Cherry Civic Center.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Thermal Equipment Sales, Inc., for sale to the City of a HVAC unit authorized in Section
1 above.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be through the Civic Center HVAC
project account.
SECTION 4. Due to the project being funded through the 2003 Bond
Issue and the deadline for expenditures being June 30, 2005, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall bec
