AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF PADUCAH HEATING &
AIR CONDITIONING FOR INSTALLATION OF A NEW HVAC SYSTEM AT THE
ROBERT CHERRY CIVIC CENTER, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Paducah
Heating & Air Conditioning, in the amount of $46,636.00 for installation of a new
HVAC unit and electrical panel at the Robert Cherry Civic Center, said bids being in
substantial compliance with bid specifications, and as contained in the bid of Paducah
Heating & Air Conditioning of April 21, 2005.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Paducah Heating & Air Conditioning, for installation of a new HVAC unit and electrical
panel according to all contract documents heretofore approved.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to the Civic Center
HVAC Project account.
SECTION 4. Due to the project being funded through the 2003 Bond
Issue and the deadline for expenditures being June 30, 2005, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
