AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO.4 WITH WILKINS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY,
INC., FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PADUCAH PARKS PHASE I PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 2003-10-6710 to enter into a
contract with Wilkins Construction Company, Inc., in the amount of $772,457.00 for
construction of the Paducah Parks Phase I Project; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 2004-5-6817 the City approved Change Order
No. 1 for a decrease in the amount of $1,200.00 to delete the removal of three construction
signs from the contract and Change Order No. 2 for an increase in the amount of $47,460.00,
to provide a parking lot and driveway for the 200+ person picnic shelter, increasing the total
contract price to $818,717.00; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 2004-12-6902 the City approved Change
Order No. 3 for an increase in the amount of $5,771.00 for additional electrical, concrete
work and painting between Noble Park, Kolb Park and Blackburn Park increasing the total
contract price to $824,488.00.
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 4 is required to include additional pool pump
and piping changes, and bathhouse and electrical revisions for Blackburn Park which would
increase the contract price by $8,536.00; however, the Contractor installed the incorrect
shade of roof color on the new pavilion at Noble Park and issued a credit of $10,000 leaving
a credit of $1, 464.00 therefore decreasing the total contract price to $823,024.00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change
Order No. 4 in the amount of ($1,464.00) for the City of Paducah's Parks Phase I Project,
decreasing the total contract price to $823,024.00.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant tom- 424.
