HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-6-6982ORDINANCE NO. 2005-6-6982 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH MOTOROLA FOR FY 2005-2006 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a service agreement with Motorola for all city -owned radios in the amount of $58,297.68. This contract shall expire June 30, 2006. SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to various departments. SECTION 3. Pursuant to KRS 83A.060, the City Commission suspends the requirement of a second reading and publication of this Ordinance. As grounds therefore, the City Commission does hereby declare an emergency to exist as to the execution of this Ordinance. Specifically, any delay in the execution of this Ordinance could interrupt radio communication for emergency services due to expiration date of contract being June 30, 2005. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective upon the first reading of this Ordinance. ATTEST: Tammara S.
